With recent busy times and maternity leave I am sorry the blog has been a bit neglected but it is up and running again, so we will keep you posted with the lovely and fun things we are doing!
Creating people’s wedding flowers is always a joy, you feel like you are adding the finishes touches to a very special day, adding the colour and adding to the memories of the day. Last summer I got to put those finishing touches to a really special wedding, my brother’s! With some lovely pictures by Ed Peers, www.edpeers.com, I thought I would share it with you.
Pigeon Lake, Ontario, Canada
As wedding photographers both Hugh and Jennifer have seen a lot of weddings so knew exactly what they wanted for their own. It was great to be part of helping create it for them, Jennifer had asked for flowers to run the whole length of the tables, so I decided to make garlands of flowers and foliage to do this.
Garlands of eucalyptus, white lisianthus, guelder rose and asparagus fern.
Tables all set! Which looked beautiful in Hugh and Jennifer’s garden. We are not so lucky in England to be able to guarantee a rain free day!
Place names, personal cards written by Hugh and Jennifer to each guest, with a hessian ribbon, brown string and sprig of eucalyptus. The whole wedding had a very natural and rustic feel to it, a true garden wedding.
With candles amongst the whites and greens of the flowers, it looked very fresh and added to the whole naturalness and simplicity of the day.
The Bride and Groom! Jen didn’t want to carry any flowers, just a few flowers in her hair, a really simple, special and beautiful day .Back to blog
